Michael Strahan Reports to N.Y. Giants

Big surprise. Michael Strahan reported to the N.Y. Giants today. He timed this out perfectly at the end of training camp. Michael was said to be mulling over whether he wanted to retire or not, but I think it was more a case of him not wanting to go through two-a-days and all that other camp stuff. Michael knew all along what he was going to do. He wasn’t going to retire. He was just going to skip camp. It will probably cost him about $500,000 in fines, but it’s a price he was obviously willing to pay for missing the grind.

Just a follow-up here … Michael’s fine was reduced to $200,000 but he was reportedly unhappy with that discount. He wanted out of training camp for free.
