The NFL suspended Minnesota Vikings left tackle Bryant McKinnie for four games without pay yesterday for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. Bryant pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from a street brawl outside a Miami nightclub back in February. A pretrial hearing on the criminal charges is scheduled next month in Miami-Dade County Court. Bryant will not be able to return to the team until after the Vikes September 28 game against Tennessee. He will also miss games against Green Bay, Indianapolis and Carolina. Seven-year vet Artis Hicks is expected to fill-in for Mt. McKinnie. The two people as upset by this as Bryant (who will lose a month’s pay) are quarterback Tarvaris Jackson and head coach Brad Childress.
