Combine-Prep Ballers Refuel With SURGEX

by David Kindervater on February 22nd, 2008

Blogging the National Football League, Blogging the NFL

I ran into the SURGEX gang here in the RCA Dome/Indiana Convention Center and they gave me the scoop (literally) on their new, scientifically advanced “sports formula.” Athletes training for the 2008 NFL Scouting Combine at Tom Shaw Performance (like USF safety Mike Jenkins) and Test Sports Clubs were using this stuff with great results.

Simply put, SURGEX is a whole food powder combining a blend of extended release proteins, antioxidants, and amino acids to meet the multi-nutritional needs of strength, speed, and endurance athletes. You mix it with cold water, juice or milk, shake it up and enjoy. Sure, it’s made for elite athletes, but you don’t need to be an elite athlete to benefit from it. If you work out/lift weights/play hard, you need to give this a try. Here’s yet another useful scenario. I was pretty much running out of gas today after only a few hours of sleep last night (working, traveling, fighting the weather, etc.) and I needed something to “feed the machine” because my day was far from over. I sure felt great about putting something good into my body. And this really is good food. The taste? It’s outstanding. I mixed Berry Banana Blast with skim milk and consider it to be one of the best protein/recovery shakes I’ve ever tasted. I don’t care how good something is for me, if I don’t like the taste of it, chances are I won’t keep eating or drinking it for more than a few days. This, I like. Other flavors are Tropical Crush, Vanilla Storm and Chocolate Thunder.

I was watching the NFL Network and I saw some of the players training at the pre-combine camps wearing shirts that said “Surgex” on the them. I didn’t know what Surgex was, so I searched “surgexsports” in google and found the website: http://www.surgexsports.com. Surgex turned out to be a recovery supplement for athletes and active people. I was really imporessed with the website and the science behind the product. Now, after reading this article, I’m convinced it’s good stuff. I like thier flavor options, as well. I’m going to get some of the Berry Banana Blast the writer of the article talked about. I will let you know how it goes.

As an athlete who has competed in athletics at both the collegiate and professional levels this is the best recovery supplement I have ever used. I have used everything from Endurox to Muscle Milk and nothing really compares to it. While the berry is good my preference is the Tropical Crush. Mix it with a shaker (half water and half gatorade) after a workout and it tastes unbelievable.

As a frequent user of Surgex, I can assure you that David hits the nail right on the head. The spectacular and immediate results after a workout combined with its great taste, really separates it from its competition.

Surgex is a great supplement. Been taking it for a while now since it was recommended to a friend of mine by Amani Toomer.

excellent stuff. I have been using it for awhile and there is nothing better after an intense workout than Surgex. I am able to workout just as hard the following day with little to no muscle soreness and plenty of energy.

I tried the Vanilla Storm flavor today and loved it. It tastes a lot like a Carnation Instant Breakfast drink only, obviously, much better for me.

Surgex is a boon to those of us over 60 that are still competitive in the Tris. There are a lot of products on the market that make many claims, but these old bulls out here in the West have found the one that works-Surgex. Flavor is excellent, but flavor is one thing, results are another. Use and enjoy, and stay our of our way if you are competing in Tris in the West.
