Charges Against Pacman Jones Delayed

In the ongoing saga that is Pacman Jones‘ life, the Tennessee Titans DB appeared in General Sessions Court in Murfreesboro, TN today. It was ruled that he must wait to see how felony charges are filed against him before a Tennessee court can rule whether his plea bargain can be revoked. A new hearing was set for January 3, 2008 to revisit the case. The charges prosecutors were trying to revive come from an incident last August at a nightclub in Murfreesboro. Police said Pacman got into an argument with a woman, refused to leave the club and shouted profanities at officers. Rutherford County General Sessions Court Judge David Loughry had agreed this past January to dismiss the charges and erase Pacman’s record if he behaved himself for six months. Which, obviously, he did not because being indicted on felony charges in another state does not constitute good conduct.
If he is ever going to turn his life around, he’s got a lot of baggage to unload first. And unfortunately for him, that process did not start today. It’s going to be a long road back to the football field for Pacman Jones.
