Cedric Killings Visits Teammates After Injury

In another story of amazing recovery from a potentially paralyzing hit on the football field, Houston Texans DT Cedric Killings surprised his teammates by walking into practice today after suffering a broken vertebra in his neck during last weekend’s loss to the Colts. Cedric wore a neck brace and had a black eye, but just an hour after being released from the hospital, he wanted to see his teammates. They, in turn, were thrilled to see him. In front of the entire team, head coach Gary Kubiak announced Cedric as an honorary captain for the team’s game with Atlanta on Sunday.

This is a shockingly fast recovery for a player who couldn’t move his limbs for a time on the field after the injury occurred less than a week ago. It was also a much-needed emotional boost for a team who has seen 11 players go down to season-ending injuries so far.
