The numbers are in. According to Nielsen Media Research, yesterday’s Super Bowl was the third most watched television program of all-time with 93.2 million viewers. Only the 1996 Steelers/Cowboys Super Bowl (94.1 million) and the final episode of M*A*S*H rate higher.

Peyton Manning won the MVP award. But it might as well have been the entire Colts team as they beat the Bears 29-17 in a rain-soaked Super Bowl XLI.
Peyton was a solid 25-38 for 247 and a TD. But, it was the Indy running game that put the dagger into the the heart of the […]

Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith are more than great head football coaches. They’re also the first African-Americans to be head football coaches in a Super Bowl. Fittingly, this event will take place at Super Bowl XLI during Black History Month. The two will share this historic bond, but they also have something else in common […]

I was upset at the Pro Football Writers of America, of which I am a member in my second season, for filing a complaint against the Colts today for not planning to arrive at the Super Bowl until Monday night. I hear a lot of complaining from members of the media, usually […]
