Brett Favre Rewrites NFL History Books

by David Kindervater on September 30th, 2007

Blogging the National Football League, Blogging the NFL

As expected, Brett Favre passed Dan Marino as the NFL’s all-time leader in touchdown passes. He threw two TDs today (numbers 421 and 422) as the Green Bay Packers beat the Minnesota Vikings 23-16 and remained undefeated at 4-0. Once again, Brett turned in gaudy numbers — 32 of 45 for 344 yards. Right now, he’s playing at an MVP level and winning games. With the NFL’s worst rushing offense, the Packers are putting a lot on Brett’s shoulders and he is proving he can carry the load. Is it possible Brett is not just older but also even wiser? Still, I wonder how long this team can continue their win-streak without a running game?

Brett’s been in the news quite a bit lately. Check out my other recent Brett Favre posts: Brett Favre Ties All-Time TD Record, Interview With Brett Favre and Brett Favre Becomes NFL’s Winningest QB.
